Hello there! I’m George, a lover of media, gamer, YouTuber, and aspiring filmmaker/screenwriter!
I’ve always enjoyed movies, but it wasn’t until 2017 when me and my Dad began a project going through some of the more noteworthy Best Picture nominees where film became as much of an all-encompassing obsession for me as gaming was.
And as I began to apply the enthusiastic and analytical mindset I’d developed for video game reviews to film, I realized that I wanted to tell my own stories through the medium as well.
And, in late 2022, two years after I enrolled at the London Film Academy, I finished a no-budget feature documentary about my (and four online friends’) gaming YouTube experiences called Play for Views! Getting the footage from everyone before editing these five stories into a unified story was a challenge I’m ultimately very proud to have undertaken.

Since then, I’ve been working with some terrific collaborators on a variety of screenplays inspired by many of my favourite movies, games, and TV shows and including a romantic dramedy and a mystery crime thriller. And I have plenty of other ideas kicking around in my head, ranging from an adventure movie to a full-blown musical! The spice of life, as they say.
I enjoy movies from all genres and eras, especially anything that zig-zags through a variety of emotions and visual styles, to the point where it feels like I’ve experienced an entire film festival in a single sitting! To name just a few of my favourites:
- Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993)
- Fargo (1996)
- La La Land (2016)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
- Punch-Drunk Love (2002)
- Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
- Spirited Away (2001)
- Us (2019)
- Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers (1993)

Discussing the arts online through articles and reviews is something I love to do, so I hope you’ll enjoy getting my perspective on tons of movies that have enraptured me over the years.
