Our aim is to openly discuss how to deal with mental crises in different areas and phases of life and at the same time highlight possible support services. In this way, we want to make a contribution to de-stigmatizing mental disorders as well as to prevention and early detection. Selected films open the door to a wide range of discussions and conversations. After each screening, professional and volunteer experts from their own experience and relatives will be available as competent discussion partners.

The film series “Irrsinnig Menschlich” is entering its 16th year and is once again dedicated to the important topic of mental health. At the CineMotion Berlin-Hohenschönhausen cinema, you can expect films that inform, move and encourage discussion, with a moderated discussion after each screening in which experts with different backgrounds share their insights. The audience is invited to actively participate and engage in an open, supportive atmosphere to raise awareness of mental health, introduce support services and encourage openness in dealing with one's own experiences.

The aim is to contribute to the early detection and prevention of mental illnesses and to destigmatize them. We are pleased about the cooperation with the Selbsthilfe Kontakt- und Informationsstelle (SEKIS) Berlin, bipolaris Berlin-Brandenburg e.V., the patronage of the new state commissioner for mental health and the support of the film series 2025 by HOWOGE.
