Metropolis (OmeU) LIVE Babylon Orchester Berlin

Thanks to the cooperation with the BABYLON ORCHESTER BERLIN , the BABYLON is once again an authentic silent film theatre as it was in the 1920s - and it is once again the first cinema in the world with an orchestra.

The orchestra was founded in 2019, consists of 35 professional orchestra musicians and is conducted by internationally experienced silent film conductors such as BEN PALMER, STEFANOS TSIALIS, GÜNTER BUCHWALD, GEORGE MORTON, , NEFELI CHADOULI , MIGUEL PÉREZ IÑESTA.

Since its foundation in 2019, the BABYLON ORCHESTER BERLIN has given more than 70 sold-out performances a year for an audience of more than 35,000 people.

Since July 2021, we have been giving an average of 6-10 performances a month.

Nowhere else can you find this frequency of live silent film performances with orchestra. This unique selling point has become an integral part of Berlin's cultural life.
