Picture this: a zombie apocalypse breaks out overnight in Berlin. You need to warn your German-speaking neighbors before their brains get eaten... but do you even have the Wortschatz to describe what's happening???

"Entschuldigung, Frau Schmidt, da ist ein... äh... Mann? Und er ist sehr... hungry?" 😬

Too late. Frau Schmidt is gone.

Okay, maybe not the most likely scenario. BUT one can never be too prepared 😌☝🏼

Spooky season is the perfect time to have a little fun with your German practice and pick up words like schlurfen, stöhnen, and untot....vocab you'll probaly only ever use to describe for zombies or people leaving clubs on Monday mornings 🪩🧟‍♂️

ReSee and the Zeitgeist Zentrum are back with an extra gruselig edition of Zeit für Deutsch, because zombie movies make for good language practice, too!

We'll be watching a lean little zombie film from 2010 about a heartbroken guy who comes to Berlin to win back his ex, and ends up trapped in a Hinterhof with nothing but his new neighbors and a whole lot of Untote 🧟 Just over an hour long, auf Deutsch with English subtitles (OmeU).

Before and after the film, speak as much or as little German as you'd like. Anfänger:innen, Fortgeschrittene, and Muttersprachler:innen are all welcome. Biting is not. 🧛🏼‍♀️
