Blind Date Cinema

FANCY A DATE? Then come to Blind Date Cinema and find your perfect match! Whether you're looking for a date, want to meet new people or just want to spend a nice evening - you'll find what you're looking for here! Here's how it works: while the movie is playing, we'll find your match using a short questionnaire. Afterwards, we invite you to have a drink at the bar.

Babylon Cine Habibi

At the Babylon, we will screen an Arabic film once a month, followed by a reception with Baklava and tea as an opportunity to appreciate cinema and build community.

Spatzenkino

Spatzenkino is a cinema for first-time cinemagoers. We want the first visit to the cinema to be a positive experience for young viewers, bringing joy and thus laying the foundation for a long, intense relationship with the cinema as a cultural venue.

Late Night with the Wolf

We are reviving our legendary film quiz in a new edition as “Late Night with the Wolf”! For a small fee, you can take part in the quiz in our bar on all kinds of topics from the film cosmos and win small prizes. The quiz is going to take place on a monthly basis.Come along, test your knowledge and creativity and bring your friends!

Craft Club

A sporadic screening series hosted by Yorck Kinogruppe where guests are invited to bring quiet crafts to enjoy during the film.

Sínelection

SİNELECTION presents current films that have rarely been shown in cinemas in Germany. Despite having international success at film festivals, many films often don't get afterlife in cinemas. Sneak previews and Berlin / Germany premieres will also be part of this series. All films are shown as original versions with English subtitles.

Babylon Kinderwagenkino

Since April 2006, young families with babies have had the opportunity to watch current cinema films in a child-friendly atmosphere every Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Babylon. Prams are parked in the cinema and babies are allowed to lie or crawl on the blanket they have brought with them.

Babylon Marathons

The Babylon hosts the occasional movie marathon, for those with true cinema endurance!

Common Visions Berlin

Common Visions Berlin is a free space dedicated to our friends and comrades. Through events such as film screenings, discussions and lectures, Sinema Transtopia is shared with organizations and initiatives whose work makes a similarly important contribution to the visibility of the transnational urban society in Berlin.

Irrsinnig Menschlich

A film series designed to give people an opportunity to discuss dealing with mental health crises in different areas and phases of life, as well as highlighting possible support services.

Babylon Orchester Berlin

The BABYLON ORCHESTER BERLIN was founded in 2019 as a silent film orchestra at the BABYLON. The BABYLON is thus the only cinema since the end of the silent film era where a cinema orchestra regularly performs, making it possible to once again experience the art form of live-accompanied films just as much as opera or concerts.

Cicle Gaudí: Catalan films and Catalan Aperitivo

Ten film afternoons that let you experience the diversity of Catalan cinematography. The films, in their original version with German or English subtitles, convey a versatile cinema that is represented at festivals all over the world and repeatedly wins international awards.After the screenings, we invite you to a discussion with the film crew or film experts, and for your culinary needs, a tasting of Catalan gastronomic products is on the program.

Babylon Cinema presents "Cinemaperitivo: vi raccontamo l´Italia" a series of screenings followed by an aperitif inside the cinema.

Frühstückskino

Every second Thursday of the month, the popular breakfast cinema takes place at the Casablanca at 10:00 a.m. (film starts around 11:00 a.m.) . Enjoy a selected film from our current program, including coffee or tea and a sandwich. Please note: A surcharge applies to the regular ticket price! Advance registration is strongly requested by noon on the previous Monday.

Goethe-Institut in Exile

The Goethe-Institut in Exile project represents those Goethe-Instituts worldwide that can no longer operate in their host countries, or can only operate to a limited extent, and aims to provide a platform and space for encounters and exchange.

Beauty Horror Movie Night

This series brings together some of the smartest and wildest new works from a rising generation of feminine and feminist horror filmmakers.
It tells stories of obsession, aging, bodily autonomy, and resistance – with surreal imagery, powerful storytelling, and fierce feminine energy.

Pioneers of Black British Cinema

The selection of five film programs considers intersectional perspectives and explorations of Britain's (post)colonial history. The works reflect the tensions caused by the Conservative Thatcher government and the influences of historical events such as the London New Cross Fire of 1981 and the Handsworth Riots of 1985.

Asian Queers Reunited

Asian Queers Reunited (AQR) is a Berlin-based cross-disciplinary initiative connecting audiences with queer narratives from Asia and its diaspora. Through cinema and community encounters, AQR presents the embodied experiences of Asian queers and explores the intersecting dimensions of identity, desire, intimacy, and resistance.
