Guardian of the Monarchs is an investigative documentary that follows the life and disappearance of renowned environmentalist and defender of the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary in Michoacán, Homero Gómez González, and demonstrates how international trade interests, organized crime and corruption stood in his way.
