In a time marked by pain, loss, and alienation for many, "Reconnecting Through the Cracks" invites us to come together and rediscover lost connections.The series' title, "Reconnecting Through the Cracks," stems from a deep need to reflect on alienation. It offers a space to acknowledge our barriers while standing together in challenging times.Each screening will feature a feature film and a short film, exploring narratives of pain, resilience, and new beginnings.
The film selection from Egypt, Iran, Congo, Palestine, and Sudan provides deep insights into realities of life that often remain hidden. Through these screenings, we aim to create a connection to these voices—those that slip through the cracks of our perception.
In this screening of the series we show "Soundtrack to a Coup d'Etat" (2024) by Johan Grimonprezand the short film "An Orange from Jaffa" (2023) by Mohammed Almughanni.
